IKEM – Radioisotope Unit Reconstruction, Prague

Adjustments of Radioisotope unit of the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague consist in a complete reconstruction of nuclear medicine ward with all the technical details while following demanding requirements coming with this type of ward.

The project covers the complete reconstruction of the nuclear medicine ward in the radioisotope unit of the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) in Prague, including all technical details and the specific requirements of this type of ward.

The main change is a new layout of the radioisotope unit, which makes room for new gamma cameras and for radiopharmaceutical laboratories that meet current legal requirements.

Our scope included the building permit documentation and the construction documentation, negotiations with the authorities, and design supervision during construction.

The documentation also included the construction site organisation plan, the operating rules for the air-conditioning and cooling systems, and the operating rules for the laboratories and cleanrooms.
